{kids clothes week} day 4

Day 4:
Pattern: I drafted it myself, my inspiration was a blouse we own.
Size 5yrs for Brylie
Fabric used: not sure of the name but it isn't cotton, and has a slight stretch, almost like a very light weight stretch denim.

I'm really impressed with myself this year, actually keeping up with everyone else...and posting on the right days :-)

Today I decided to try something different.  I have a really cute little blouse of Brylie's that we were given and it is super cute under pinafores and other sleeveless tops so I thought I would like to make her another one....

the only problem was that I didnt have any light, white fabric, suitable...so the next best thing was some super cool purple check, fabric that has a slight stretch.

I think it looks pretty darn cute, my husband on the other hand doesn't like the style at all, big sad face to me. the sleeves are too poofy, doesn't like the square shoulders.  AH WELL, I like it and Brylie likes it so that is all that matters.

I just love the big poofy sleeves and I'm dreaming that they would look pretty cute with a band around the bottom rather than the hem and elastic gathering.

I used KAM snaps on this top, but it was only because I was being lazy and didn't want to do button holes, and I also didn't have enough buttons to match.

Isn't she just delightful...
