Beachcomber Pinny Sew-a-Long

To celebrate the release of my latest pattern, the Beachcomber Pinny, I'm going to run a sew-a-long.  I've never done one of these before so I'm not entirely sure how they go, but I'm going to give it a go and hope some others join in with the fun.

The BeachComber Pinny is a delightful little pinafore style dress with snaps or buttons at the shoulders and a simple A-line shape.  It does however have a point of difference from any other "just another pinafore"  It has HUGE POCKETS, and I mean huge, you could seriously collect a whole beach full of shells in them.

It comes in sizes 0-3months right up to size 12 and has some different options that, together with mixing up fabrics you can create some seriously cute dresses.

~ Pick up a copy of the Beachcomber Pinny
~ Check out the blog every day this week (see schedule below)
~ Join the LittleKiwisCloset (PDF Patterns) group of facebook - I encourage the participants to share their progress or ask for help here.
~ Upload your finished Dress/Tunic to the Sew Along Album for a chance to win some patterns.

Prizes will be the winners choice of two (2) of my patterns.

SCHEDULE

DAY 1 ~ Choosing your fabric, size and options.  Printing your pattern and cutting.

DAY 2 ~ Assemble the pocket overlay.

DAY 3 ~ Sew linings, side seams and assemble band.

DAY 4  ~ Catch up day.

DAY 5 ~ Attach band and finishing off the dress/tunic AND upload photo to sew along album.

DAY 6 ~ Winners announced and a few favourites shared.
