So recently I have seen a few businesses on facebook posting these cute little hottie covers for something called "The Hottie Project" and I was intrigued as to what it was. I googled, and found (among a few other things - hotties of another kind lol) the blog that had started it all ~ Big Little.

The initiative is to get lots of people making nice snuggly warm hottie covers for the children down in Christchurch to keep them warm this winter. I wanted in...this is the second initiative that I've been involved in to help Christchurch. (the first was the auctions of Handmade for Christchurch which raised over $16,000)
Here are the first few covers that I made. I found this gorgeous sweat-shirting at a little hospice shop in Tauranga for $1 so what a perfect use for it.
I've also just been given some more sweat-shirting and fleece today, that I am going to use as well. I already have 3 red ones cut out and ready to sew. I'm also going to do a few from some woollen blankets that I have lying around my sewing room.

If you also want to join in and make some hottie covers, then head over to the Big Little Blog to find out ALL the information.
