I've been very lucky to be part of the Lullaby Line Pattern tour happening over at Peek-a-Boo Patterns Shop
I did the size 3months for my wee nephew Ezra and used the 2 knot hat as I think it is more boyish than the other styles.
I used the cutest little moustache, quality, cotton knit that I think is perfect for the cute little baby that Ezra is.
The bodysuit came together so quickly, I was actually surprised at how fast it sewed up. The most time consuming part was the pinning of the binding and the topstitching (which I made a bit of a hash of!) But hey, no one is looking at the stitching when its on a little cutie like this now are they?
Ezra is roughly 2 1/2 months old here, this 3m size looks nice and snug on him, (the 3m is designed to fit 8-12lbs) and my sister thinks he is around about 6kg (13lbs) AND he is also wearing a bulky cloth nappy. He would, therefore have a lot more room in the 6m size.
Also my sister said that the hat is already too small for him, and left a mark around his head :-(
For the sleepsack, I chose to do a footed one for Portia who is 19months. I made the 12-24months size. I thought it would be HUGE on her as she is a petite 19month old who wears store bought 9-12month clothing. However it fits perfectly, YES it is long, but it doesn't drag on the floor, the cuffs keep it just at her ankles alowing her to walk safely around the house in the morning.
I was also not sure how much she would wear at the moment because I made it out of polarfleece and it is rather hot in Tauranga right now. BUT she has worn it for the last few day sleeps and night sleeps and she hasn't overheated. so YIPPEEE. (this was also perfect timing as her other sleepsack had just bitten the dust).

I love the feet option so they can walk around in it.

Now who doesnt love a sleeping baby?
Cute little tooties.
Portia loves that her feet are out and comments "ooh toes" every time I put it on her :-)
I love the freedom she has while wearing this sleepsack, and the peace of mind I have knowing she will be warm.
She wasn't very pleased about being woken up this day as I had to go get Brylie from school.
