Sew along DAY 1 ~ Beachcomber Pinny

Welcome to day 1 of the Beachcomber Pinny.

By now you will have purchased your pattern and most likely have printed it out already...if you are anything like me with a new pattern that I'm excited to sew, its printed and cut the instant I've downloaded it.

Anyway I digress, if you havn't purchased it, dont worry, you can still get it for the reduced price of $8 here on craftsy.  But today is the last day of the reduced price so get it before it goes to its normal price of $10.

Today is a relitivly easy day, unless you are like a few of my testers who had a very hard time choosing their fabrics....too may options. haha

Choose your fabric and trims if you are adding any.

Decide what option you are doing, colour blocked back? plain back?

Print your pattern and tape/glue together.

Cut out or trace your size.

There are many different looks that you can achieve just by playing around with your fabric choices.  

~ Use both plain fabrics with an accent of piping for a classic little tunic.

~ Make the pocket overlay a feature and use some bright and colourful favourite fabric paired with a solid coordinate to show off the great print.

I just cant wait to see what you all come up with.

Today will be the day that you alter your pattern length if you are wanting it to sit below the knee.  Follow the instructions on pages 4 and 5 to do this.

Now package it all up and put aside in a safe place...you know how those little fingers love to play with your patterns and fabric.
