So acording to my husband, I'm "the Grinch!!" I do love christmas but it is such an effort to get the tree and decorations up. But, however, with the children getting older and more in to it, I thought I should put my frustrations aside and enjoy the season for their (and mine own) sake.
On the 1st of December we got out our tree and the kids helped decorate... Ok, so we did most of it as all they wanted to do was play with the decorations and tinsel, but we got there in the end.
Their reward for all their "help" was a candy cane.
As you can see they are more interested in the candy cane than in me taking their photo!
THEN...I made some Gingerbread men Reindeer with Brylie. I do struggle to let her do lots when we are baking together...I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to baking...something I really need to work on. I just want to get it done so I can eat it...when really I should be enjoying the time spent with my daughter teaching her some basic skills.
We used the very yummy recipe from Chelsey Sugar
This photo CRACKS ME UP, I wish Elijah would be like this more...at the moment he is a typical 3 1/2 year old boy and is VERY HARD WORK...Please tell me it gets easier???
Portia on the other hand is a DELIGHT at the moment. I love listening to her gabble away in her own little language, with the 'getting more often' understandable English.
Arent these hands just the cutest?
PS. Dont forget about my competition that is running for the WHOLE of December and a bit of January.
